Wigan unveil 188bet sponsorship

Wigan FC has revealed that in-play betting specialist 188bet will become the club’s new sponsor next season for two campaigns.

The Latics will take to the field in their new kit for next season complete with the 188bet logo in their final home game against Portsmouth on the 24th May. However, the club has decided that the logo will not appear on youth, children and infant shirts sold by the club. This is so the club will not expose the children in the community from advertising of betting and gaming businesses.

Dave Whelan, Wigan chairman, said: “We are thrilled to have secured a sponsor with such strong global reach. The record agreement will enable Wigan Athletic to further build its profile internationally as well as introducing 188bet to the UK market.”
