Stoke's first Premier League shirt is a simple effort. Obviously there are red and white stripes, but the design is slightly different to last seasons in that the red stripes are thicker than the white ones. It features the Le Coq Sportif logo, in blue, and the club crest with the red and white Britannia logo. The colours of the logo obviously match with the kit colour, and that is always a good thing. However, the red of the logo is slightly darker than the red of the shirt and so creates a contrast which makes the shirt look a little cheap. Although not a fan of the breaking of the stripes for logos generally, a horizontal red stripes of the same shade as the vertical ones, with the Britannia font printed on in white would probably have looked better in this instance.
Simple stuff again - I've never really liked yellow and blue away kits anyway, so I'm not a huge fan on this shirt. However, simplicity is a good thing in my book, and so this shirt is decent but unspectacular. The base colour is yellow with blue trim, with the red and white Britannia logo printed on in the centre of the shirt.
