Southampton FC reveal new away kit 09/10

Crisis club Southampton FC has revealed their new away kit that they will wear during the 2009/10 League 1 campaign.

The team has had a terrible couple of years and are fortunate to still be running at the moment following a near financial meltdown. Following a near escape from relegation, the club went into the 08/09 season hoping for better but they spent the majority of the time in relegation zone and were still there at the end of the 46 games to be relegated down to the 3rd tier of English football.

The new Southampton away kit contains a shirt that is yellow in the top third and navy blue in the bottom two thirds. The navy blue section contains several slightly lighter blue vertical stripes running throughout. The sleeves and shoulders are also navy blue but the V neck collar is yellow. Manufacturers Umbro place their black logo in the top right of the shirt whilst the club badge is positioned in the top left. Sponsors “Flybe.com” position a large white logo across the middle of the shirt. The kit is completed with yellow shorts and socks.
