Home Kit

The Sheffield United club shop website claims that the club has a new home strip, although I'm finding it hard to tell any difference between this and the 07/08 kit advertised in another section of the online shop. The only difference I can see is that the blue stripes appear darker on this shirt. However, that could just be the light, so I am unsure whether that is simply just a typo on the site's part. Nonetheless, a simple but a decent kit. Made by Lotto and featuring the traditional blue and white stripes, the kit also features some white piping. This sperates the main, striped section of the shirt from the all-blue sleeves nicely, and rounds off an unspectacular but still relatively attractive home kit for the Owls.

Away Sheffield Wednesday Kit

There's no way to confuse the away kit with the previous effort though - last season's was a blinding orange effort, with this white kit signalling a toned-down approach from Wednesday. The blue and black curved shapes on the sides (and shoulders) of the shirts look good upon the white background and make for a stylish kit. I also think that the sponsors' (plusnet broadband) logo looks better in all-black on the away kit than the multi-coloured version on the home shirt.
