Real Salt Lake begin their MLS season with a revamped home kit. The 08/09 shirt uses the same colours as last season's effort but with a different design. In my opinion the newer design is a lot nicer as well. The base colour on the torso is a dark red with blue sides and sleeves and the yellow Adidas stripes running down the arm. The use of blue on this shirt is a lot nicer than the horrible patterns produced on the 2007 shirt. Overall, a very good upgrade which should please most fans.
Real Salt Lake also begin the new season with an upgraded away kit. Personally, I would have kept the previous strip which integrated with patterns into the design to prevent the shirt from being too plain. Unfortunately, the new shirt is too white and lacks any originality to make it stand out from other white shirts. Overall, the shirt is just too dull and definitely won't go down as a classic.
