New Liverpool 10/11 third kit

English Premier League giants Liverpool have revealed their new third kit that they will wear on occasions during the 2010/11 Premiership and Europa League campaigns.

The team had a dismal 2009/10 season that saw Rafa Benitez lose his job just weeks after the conclusion. With supporters expecting a title challenge after last season’s 2nd place finish, Liverpool ended up 7th in the division and with little cash to change the squad. The Champions League was also a disaster with the team finishing 3rd in their group and moving into the Europa League where they lost in the semi finals to Atletico Madrid. Little progress was made in either domestic cup competition giving Liverpool their worst campaign for some time. Former Fulham manager Roy Hodgson has been named as the new Liverpool boss for the 10/11 campaign.

The new Liverpool 2010/11 third kit contains a predominately black shirt with two different tones of black in a triangular pattern and a yellow round neck collar. Manufacturers Adidas position their yellow logo in the top right of the shirt whilst the three traditional yellow stripes run down the shoulders. The club badge is situated in the top left and sponsors “Standered Chartered” place their large thin yellow logo across the centre of the shirt.
