Genoa 2010/11 home, away and special kits

Italian club Genoa have revealed their new home, away and special kits that they will wear throughout the 2010/11 Serie A campaign.

Following an impressive 08/09 season which saw the team qualify for the UEFA Europa League and finish in 5th place, hopes were high for Genoa going into the 09/10 campaign. Qualification for the Europa League group stage was a promising start. However, an injury plague few months saw them eliminated from the competition behind Valencia and Lille. In Serie A, the team finished in a slightly disappointing 9th position with 51 points, four points away from Europa League qualification.

The new Genoa 2010/11 home kit contains a shirt split into half with a red right half and a navy blue left half. However, the right sleeve is navy blue and the left sleeve is red. Manufacturers Asics place their white worded logo in the top right of the shirt whilst the club badge is situated in the top left. The collar is a combined red and navy blue V neck whilst no sponsor logo is present on the body.

The new Genoa 2010/11 away kit contains a predominately white shirt with a thick combined red and navy blue horizontal stripe across the centre of the shirt. The collar is a combined red and navy blue V neck collar and thin red sleeve edges. Manufacturers Asics position their small black worded logo in the top right of the shirt whilst the club badge is situated inside the central coloured band.

Genoa have also unveiled a special navy blue kit that will be worn in friendlies and unofficial matches. The shirt also contains red sleeve edges and a red V neck collar. Manufacturers Asics situate their gold worded logo centrally below the collar with the club badge next to it in the top left.
