Finland unveil new home kit 2010/12

European nation Finland has unveiled their brand new home kit that they will wear mainly throughout the 2012 European Qualifying campaign.

The team has improved dramatically in recent times but has still never appeared at a major tournament. The nation performed admirably in trying to qualify for Euro 2008 amongst strong teams such as Portugal, Poland, Serbia and Belgium. In the end, the Finns needed to beat Portugal by a sizable margain in the final match to draw level on points with second place. A 0-0 draw saw them eventually finish 4th. Unfortunately, a draw to Armenia and a defeat to Azerbaijan throughout the campaign cost them qualification. The team were a little bit further off the pace during the World Cup 2010 qualification as Germany and Russia cruised to the top two spots leaving Finland in 3rd ahead of Wales.

The new Finland 2010/12 home kit contains a predominately white shirt with a large blue patch positioned in the top left and bottom right. Manufacturers Adidas place their blue logo in the top right of the shirt whilst the three traditional white stripes run down the shoulders. The collar is a combined white and blue V neck whilst the national badge is situated in the top left of the shirt.
