Doncaster Rovers agree three year sponsorship deal
Championship Club Doncaster Rovers have announced that they have formed an agreement with “One Call Insurance” to become the club’s sponsors from the 2010/11 campaign.
The Insurance company, who previously sponsored the club’s shorts in 2008, will be present on the team’s red and white shirts for three years.
The club has undergone a major transformation in the last decade from struggling in the Blue Sqaure Premier to pushing for promotion to the Premier League. Former manager Dave Penney helped the team to promotion to the League Two and then to League One. However, he resigned when he felt he had taken them as far as he could. Sean O’Driscoll took the reigns and soon won promotion to the Championship. After an initial poor start, he has established them as an attractive playing side. The team are currently lurking just outside the Play Off zone and will be hoping for a late push for 6th place.

Laura Whiting, Commercial Manager of Doncaster Rovers, said: “As a club we are committed to giving back to the local community and it was important to all of us that our new Club Sponsor was a local organisation who shared that commitment to the Club and to Doncaster as a whole, and in One Call Insurance we have found that partner.”
John Ryan, Doncaster Rovers chairman, commented: “I am delighted to welcome One Call Insurance as Club Sponsor of Doncaster Rovers. One Call Insurance are great friends of the Club and have been part of our success in the past and I’m sure will see even more success over the next three years.”
John Radford, Managing Director of One Call Insurance, said: “We are delighted to be sponsoring our local team, Doncaster Rovers. Doncaster Rovers place a huge emphasis on building community links and keeping local roots. As an organisation we share these beliefs and hope that our sponsorship will enable both parties to be able to develop a strategy that will benefit the whole of Doncaster.”
