Last gasp champions Celtic start the new season with a new home shirt which is near identical to last season's shirt. As usual the green and white hoops have been retained with the lay out exactly the same. The only noticeable differences are that the Nike tick is now gold instead of black and the collar has changed to a V neck. This shirt isn't really going to alter opinion. If you liked the 07/08 design then you will like this one as well. However, you have to ask what is the point in buying a new shirt that looks the same as the old one?
Celtic have also launched a brand new away shirt for the 2008/2009 season and it is a major change from the dark green kit that was worn during the last campaign. Last season's shirt looked very simplistic but had a touch of class about it. However, for some reason the manufacturers have decided to model this strip on the Brazil national team colours which just doesn't suit Celtic at all. There's not much more to say on this kit. You'll either like it or loathe it. Unfortunately my views are with the latter.
