Bayern Munich will begin their 2008/09 Bundesliga challenge with the same home shirt as last season. The club has stuck with the traditional horizontal red and white stripes with thin white Adidas stripes also running down the arm. Overall, a nice shirt that keeps within club traditions but there may be a few people left wanting a little bit more innovation from this home shirt.
Bayern Munich will also start the new Bundesliga season with a newly designed away shirt. The new strip is predominately black with white Adidas stripes running down the arms. Adidas has also implemented a light grey pattern along the right side of the shirt which adds a really cool effect. Overall, I think this is a real stylish shirt and will be worn by many Bayern Munich supporters.
Bayern Munich has also launched a 3rd kit which they will use for playing in European competition. Funnily enough this kit looks similar to last season's away kit whilst this year's away kit looks very much like the 3rd kit of last season. This is definitely a major improvement on the previous 3rd kit though. The shirt is predominately white with red Adidas stripes down the arms. The "T" part of the T Home sponsor is also in purple which actually blends really well with the shirt as a whole. I'm very impressed with this 3rd kit and look forward to seeing Bayern do battle in it.
