Atletico Madrid reveal new Home and Away kits
Spanish club Atletico Madrid has officially revealed their new home and away kits for the upcoming 2009/10 La Liga campaign.
The team suffered a disappointing start to the 2008/09 campaign which cost manager Javier Aguirre his job after a run of six games without a victory at the beginning of the season. However, the club eventually finished in 4th place in the table giving them entry into the 2009/10 Champions League qualifiers. Atletico reached the last 16 of the competition before being knocked out on away goals by FC Porto.

The Atletico Madrid new home kit contains a shirt that has vertical red and white stripes running down the torso and sleeves. Manufacturers Nike place their blue “tick” logo in the top right of the shirt whilst the club badge is situated opposite in the top left. The collar is a red polo neck and sponsors “Kia” place their red and white logo across the centre of the shirt. The kit is completed with navy blue shorts that contain a white Nike logo and club badge and red socks.
The Atletico Madrid new away kit contains a predominately black shirt with no other colour used throughout apart from the usual logos. Manufacturers Nike place their white “tick” logo in the top right of the shirt whilst the club badge is positioned in the top left. The collar is a black polo neck and sponsors “Kia” place the usual red and white oval logo across the centre of the shirt. The kit is completed with black shorts that contain a red squad number surrounded by other logos and black socks with a red trim.
