2010/11 Southampton away kit

League One club Southampton have revealed their new away kit that they will wear throughout their battle for promotion during the 2010/11 domestic campaign.

The team had a promising first season in League One despite being docked ten points at the start of the campaign. Alan Pardew was made the new manager and rebuilt the squad that enabled them to pull away from the relegation zone. In March, the club reached the JPT final at Wembley and promptly beat Carlisle 4-1 to win their first trophy since 1976. In the end, the squad finished only seven points off the play offs. Considering their deduction, they will go into the 2010/11 season as one of the favourites for promotion.

The new 2010/11 Southampton away kit contains a predominately black shirt with a red round neck collar. Manufacturers Umbro place their white logo in the top right of the shirt whilst the club badge is situated opposite in the top left. There is currently not a sponsor logo across the middle of the body. The kit is relatively pattern free and contains black shorts with a red stripe down the sides. There are also red socks with a black trim at the top.
