09/10 Southend United Away kit

League 1 team Southend United has unveiled their new away kit that they will wear during the forthcoming 2009/10 campaign.

The club had a slightly disappointing 08/09 season after finishing outside of the play off places with an 8th place finish. Manager Steve Tilson did lead his side to a memorable draw with Chelsea at Stamford Bridge in the FA Cup before being soundly beaten in the second leg. Supporters will hope the club make a greater push for the play offs during the upcoming season.

The new Southend United away kit contains a predominately yellow shirt with mainly blue sleeves and a blue round neck collar. Manufacturers Nike place their blue “tick” logo in the top right of the shirt whilst the club badge is situated in the top left. Sponsors “Insureandgo” position their white, black, grey and green large logo across the centre of the shirt. The kit is completed with yellow shorts and yellow socks which have a blue trim at the top.
